Amandine’s passion for food is no secret, but at the same time we are equally aware that for millions of people around the globe, food is desperately scarce.  In a world where enjoying good food is a pleasure for so many, it is hugely alarming that there are over 820 million people suffering from hunger and 155 million children who are chronically malnourished.

Today is World Food Day #WFD2018 and this year the key message is that “Our Actions are Our Future”, inviting everyone to work towards a world with zero hunger by 2030 #zerohunger.   It’s clear that the time to act is now and what better day than today to announce our exciting new partnership with the global humanitarian charity Action Against Hunger.

Providing invaluable support for over 40 years, Action Against Hunger helps malnourished children and provides communities with sustainable solutions to hunger.  The charity partners with companies and individuals across the food and beverage industry who share a passion for creating and sharing food, which is one of the reasons that Amandine have teamed up with them and joined the fight to end world hunger.

Amandine are committed to making this partnership work and doing everything we can to contribute towards such a worthwhile cause.   So, what does this actually mean and what actions are we actually taking? Firstly, all of us here at Amandine will be donating each month out of our own salaries. We’ll also be encouraging our clients to make a voluntary donation at the point of booking their chef and we’ll be giving the same opportunity for our chefs to donate any of their fees from the jobs we place them in.   We will be launching a series of fundraising events as part of Action Against Hunger’s “Love Food, Give Food” campaign, starting with Amandine Supper Clubs in December 2018.   From now on the team here at Amandine are dedicated to ensuring that wherever possible we are highlighting the importance of this key issue and doing everything we can to reduce the number of people suffering from hunger and malnutrition around the world.

We’d love for as many of you as possible to support our charity work and over the coming months we’ll be sharing more details about how you can get involved.  But there’s no time like the present and if you’d like to make a donation today, click here.
